I have been driving for a number of years. I have driven different types of cars too, saloons, jeeps, mini-vans, and even light trucks. I would say, I am an experienced driver.
But, when I moved to another country to work there, I needed to have the driver's licence of that country. That was understandable since there could be certain rules and regulations different from those in our homeland.
It was definitely wise to learn about those rules and regulations before I drive in the public places, downtown core and on the highways. So, I decided to attend a driving lessons course. From among a number of driving schools in the City where I was based, I chose one which was offering driving lessons course in the English language. This was a well reputed school, particularly oriented for foreigners, and with over twenty years in the business.
The school offered classes in the mornings, afternoons, and in the evenings too. One could choose to take the class convenient for oneself.
With my full time job in the day time, I chose to take the class in the evening. It was in a way a crash course. Most of the people whowere atthe driving lessons course I attended were indeed foreigners. Some were beginners and some were those trying to get proper licence of the country like myself. If I remember correctly, some were there for the licence for driving heavy motor vehicles, such as long haul trucks.
It was an excellent driving school. I was told that it was one of the most highly reputed driving schools in the country. I was very happy that I chose that school. The management was excellent, and the instructors were very experienced. They had been conducting the driving lessons course for several years too.
Since I already had the experience in driving cars back home, it was not difficult for me to follow the lessons. With the excellent guidance of the experienced instructor, it didn't take me too long to be ready for taking the driving tests, theory and practical.
To help in taking the test, just in case it would be needed, I also took a lesson for some basic terms in the language of the country. Everybody agreed that was a good idea, since some of the road signs out in the country side might be in the language of the country.
With all the preparations done, I passed the tests, theory and practical, without any difficulty at all. I got through them right at the first time.
