My Mother just looked up what driving lessons cost and she about flew through the roof. You see, I was one of those kids that knew it all when I took driver’s education in school during the summer, and of course I failed it.

She is just a little bit upset with me right now, and outside of hearing a few words I have never heard of, I know have heard them all. She was just waiting for my Dad to get home from work so she could show him my test result from school. I think I had best turn myself into a mouse and just listen to everything.

Well when Dad comes home they went into the kitchen and started talking about my grade for driving. My test score broke everything down to each category and they went through each one.

I heard them talking about the teacher had given me one instruction, and I failed it. They were talking about a driving practice test also. I thought I did well on that one. All we had to do was drive a van around the town and park it. That was the easiest part of the driving lesson course. Oh well, I know I am going to get a speech before dinner time.

My dad asked me to come in and sit down so the three of us could talk. My dad said do you have any idea what driving lessons cost these days, when not applying yourself through the school one? How do you expect to pay for this if we let you do this?

I could tell my dad was upset, by him talking to me. After his conversation to me, I excused myself and went upstairs to my computer. I started searching driving lessons cost, driving practice test, and where classes could be taken at. I had to look twice when I saw how much driving lessons cost. Almost $500, and that did not include the text book and the workbook. I had two weeks to decide what I wanted to, and to figure out how I was going to pay them myself.

I went door to door in the neighborhood that I lived in and asked if they had any handy work to be done, or if I could mow their lawn. I even offered to help paint a garage for one lady and I would do it cheaper for what she hired it to be done. That was how desperate I was to help out paying for my course.

Well, all I can say is stayed tuned to see if I raised enough money to take the course.
