As I sat in the queue of traffic on my way to work, I thought back to

As I sat in the queue of traffic on my way to work, I thought back to when I was learning to drive. My parents were fed up of me learning to drive by the end as I think we worked out that I had had 60 driving lessons. (10 of which were free as my driving instructor was fed up of me and just wanted me to pass at the end!)
I have relied on my car for the past three years as I lived in the middle of nowhere meaning if you didn't drive you had to rely on someone who could e.g. my parents or get a taxi as the public transport seemed non-existent where I lived. Also, for me to get a taxi to my best friends house, it cost £15! It seemed ridiculous and almost not worth going. My parents were so relieved when I passed my driving test as I didn't have to rely on them for every lift that I wanted. But the main reason that they were relieved was due to the fact that I could now drive my car to school which saved them a fortune as my school bus was extortionate. Instead, my parents gave me petrol money if I drove myself to school every day. The best thing was I was allowed to leave school early if I had no lessons in the afternoon.
A toot from the car behind brought me back to present day. I moved forward slightly. I didn't really understand why the car had tooted as I barely had to move forward. I now thought to the course that I was heading to that day. I was dreading it, yet another stupid course on how to use a computer for all those old fuddy duddies. They seemed to repeat this kind of courses every couple of monthshowever it seemed that this course wasdifferent as it was at a farm. I didn't really understand why until yesterday when I found out it was one of those team-building courses. It was two hours away from where I lived and so I was grateful for my car. Once again it made me think why I love my car so much.
