I have recently started my driving lessons. Before I started my driving lessons I googled driving lessons uk, to find a company in my area. It was difficult to know which driving lessons uk company was the best. But I did find a driving lessons uk company in my area which seemed really good. I have been practicing in my partner’s car, but after driving his car I find that when I drive the instructor’s car, I struggle a bit. I keep messing up with the gears, I think it's because I keep swapping between the two cars. I am insured to drive my partner’s car. It was strange, when we were looking for an insurance group to join, we found that one insurance group would cost him more if he insured it without me on, so we stayed with the same insurance group which didn’t charge any extra for me being on the insurance too, bargain! I'm very nervous about my driving practice test, I passed the theory test but the actual driving practice test is a whole new kettle of fish. I am only on my 10th lesson, I have good weeks and bad but now my theory test is out the way, my teacher said he is going to start preparing me for the driving practice test. I'm so nervous! My first lesson went OK, we did the basics and I understood it all fine. It was a bit of an overload of information though. He gave me lots of sheets to read through, things like roundabouts and taking off etc. On my most recent lesson we were doing emergency stops, they were OK, and things were going fine until it started to rain. I do not like driving in the rain! I had to perform and emergency stop at a pelican crossing, to allow some people to cross over, as I had not seen the lights flashing. I also pulled out in front of a car that I didn’t see and pulled away really slowly, the driver was not impressed and beeped her horn at me. Doing my theory test though has made me more aware of road signs etc and the hazard perception test has made me see more clearly how not to drive, so hopefully next lesson I will be better, and my driving instructor won’t be writing to his insurance group.
